1. Overview
Guitar Speed Tracker (“the App”) is developed by Guitaristy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
2. Data We Collect
a) Account Data When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- A unique User ID (generated automatically)
- Sign-in method (Email/Password, Google, or Apple)
Guest users do not require an account and no personal data is collected.
b) Practice Data
- Exercise names, BPM values, percentages, and timestamps you enter
- Practice streak and session history
This data is stored solely to provide the app’s core functionality.
c) Purchase History If you subscribe to Guitaristy Trainer Upgrade, we process:
- Subscription status and purchase history
- This is handled via RevenueCat (see Section 4)
d) Analytics We collect anonymised usage data (screens visited, feature usage) via Firebase Analytics to improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.
3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
4. Third-Party Services
Firebase (Google) We use Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to manage accounts and store practice data. Data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Privacy Policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Google Sign-In If you sign in with Google, Google may share your name and email with us. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Sign in with Apple If you sign in with Apple, Apple may share a name and email (real or anonymised) with us. Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy
5. Data Retention
Your account and practice data are retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 8). Upon deletion, all personal data and practice records are permanently removed.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability

7. Children
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
